A love of travel.
A passion for languages.
And an idea that brought them together.
It started with
a world of possibilities.
I was always the travel person. Dreaming of unfamiliar streets, airports, cultures, and conversations waiting somewhere else in the world. Languages became my way of getting closer.
Knowing a language.
Living a language.
Studying languages made me the “multilingual friend.” But speaking with native speakers taught me something else: you can study for years and still feel nervous ordering food, asking for directions, or joining a conversation.
A place to learn.
A place to belong.
After three years of tutoring, I wanted to build a community where we could learn, connect, and become multilingual together. LIMA was born: a place where a language is meant to be lived.
